Happy Belated Birthday, Lauricia. I know I missed it, but hopefully you'll enjoy this.
You make me laugh
Your style of music makes me want to dance
When you hurt, I hurt
And here's one that will hopefully brighten your day. It cracks me up every time.
And I think you're gorgeous, as Loki is saying here.

     It's pick me up Monday.

I have no idea why I'm blogging about Benedict Cumberbatch.  It's something my older sister might do. But I've acquired enough photos and GIF's to actually do a post about him.
For those of you who don't know who Benedict is, he's an actor who plays Smaug from The Hobbit, Sherlock in BBC's Sherlock Holmes, as well as being an all around funny guy. Here are a few examples.

One interesting thing about Benedict is his eyes. His eyes are Glasz colored. Being an artist, I've seen many different colors of eyes, but none as rare and interesting as his. They really do change color depending on what is surrounding him.
That is my short, and rather random post. Enjoy.

   Just thought I'd do a feel-good post. Chocolate =)

Hey everyone, guess who's back??

ME!!

I guess now is as good a time as any to explain my absence from the blogging world, especially in the last 8+ weeks. Well, back in, whenever it was, I was preparing to leave Canada for 6 weeks. That 6 weeks started May 2nd, and I got back June 10th.
    Where did I go? Mexico!
Basically, it was a cross-cultural trip I went on, with about 20 other people. We went to Mexico, and in Mexico we visited Oaxaca, Puerto Escondido, Nopala, and Reforma. At each of those places we spent time learning about the culture, doing service projects, working with eachother, learning more about God, having way too much fun, cooking together, and so much more.

But with all that said, I am now back in Canada, and am enjoying the summer weather. I'll start blogging more regularly now!! And that's for sure!

Cry

That moment when

You realize that you haven't said enough

Haven't loved enough

Haven't given enough

And in that moment when

You realize that time will heal wounds

And you think it has gotten better

When it really hasn't

That person leaves

But in the mean time

All you want to do

Is hold that person tighter

You know you should be smiling

Because it isn't the end

But you can't hold back the tears

As you look in each others eyes

That sheen on the bottom eyelid

Tells more tales that a hundred stories could

As you realize

That you only have a few more days left

And you are going to be gone

All you can do is

Cry

And pray

Here are a few songs that I have been listening to recently. All of these I love, a few more than others, like Britt Nicole's "Gold" and Stria's "Rise from the Ashes". The song "Kings and Queens" by Audio Adrenaline almost make me cry.

Just some songs to brighten up you week. Again, sorry I haven't been around!! I thought I might as well sneek in a post while I can.

Ok, so I know I haven't blogged in a while. I have a very good reason for it. But I can't tell you for personal reasons. Of course.
BUT, let's just say that I've gotten really busy in the past two weeks, and have barely gotten any time on the computer, have had way less sleep than I'm used to, more early mornings, and long days on my feet... not to mention the unnamed stuff that I'm doing.

I really want to keep blogging regularly, I'm sorry that I haven't been around! You'll know when I'm less busy by how much more I'll be blogging, but at this point, it looks like it'll be kind of like this until July when things will be slowing down.

I'll try to blog as much as I can, I have so much to blog about! I haven't forgotten about you guys, and I want to thank you for all you're support, love and kindness! This is not a farewell post, but a quick update. It's only 4:15 as I'm writting this, but I'm almost ready for bed, that's how tired I am. Adios!!

I am a lover of Photoshop Creative Suite (CS).
I truly am.
While Photoshop has wonderful features, some people view Photoshop as something to dislike, or to see as something that only tekkie geeks use.
I see it as an extention of my artistic abilities.
Here are a few examples of how I use Photoshop to help me with my artwork.

Before: taken with my camera, but warped/discolored/lighter/daker than orginal        After: What it looks like in person
Now, I can't speak for all artists who take photos of their work, but since I'm into graphic design, I have a photoshop program that can help me.
But as you can see, I don't know how I'd have my finished pictures looking correct without having a little digital help. And since I have a Fine Art America account (FAA), I need my pictures to look as much as the real thing as possible.
Or as you can see here, I was taking a photo of this picture framed, but since there is glass over top of the painting, there is a reflection big time. So I used photoshop to place the painting into the frame and from there I edited the photo until it fit into the frame. I didn't want to take the glass out of the frame because I had finally gotten the painting in and didn't want to got the hassle of taking it out again.
Now, I don't always do this, as I normally don't take photos of the artwork with glass and frame, so I usually don't have to worry about making sure something fits in another photo. But in instances like this, it's really handy.
I also don't have an expensive camera. That means that I can't take the greatest photo I could, so having a professional program to help me out is a fantastic thing.
